Growing up an athlete, it was a routine for me to go to training after school. I would spend most days on the court hanging out with my Kuya Zed, Kuya KC, Kuya Paolo, Kuya Denzel, Maimai, Tita Ethel, Eze, Nathan, and Coach Zoilo. We were preparing for the STCAA meet. Some days were exhausting that I wanted to pass out but most days were filled with laughter, afternoon naps, heavy lunches, UNO competitions in our quarters, and apple juice from Burger King (it was the only fast food establishment near our court). It was in those moments I realized that I wanted to be an athlete for a long time.
